Ever wonder how many people are passing by you each day that have not received Christ as their Savior? What if they were marked in some way, like a large (W) on their back which stood for “waiting” waiting for someone to speak to them or tell them about Jesus. Or, they had a large (U) on their back that stood for “undecided”. Maybe they would display a (NR) for “not ready”. Would it help us, or would we still keep Jesus to ourselves? It makes me wonder where I have failed and who I have failed.
I wonder if we as believers knew the number of people that have been sent our way or by our path in order for us to share the salvation of Jesus with them but, passed it up. Maybe we were busy, or sick, or tired or just not looking for them. I know I have failed so many times and yet, I look back at my accomplishments for Christ and ask myself, are they even a fraction of what I should have followed through on?
I wonder if we started counting what we thought were the number of people that the Lord would have had us witness to, what that number would be after a day, week, month or even a year. Would we be impressed with our walk or ashamed? I wonder.
What is amazing is at the very moment that we witness or just share a word or ask a question, we receive at that very moment excitement and joy that we stepped out in that instant and did something. Yet, even in that brief moment of our life and of that person’s life how likely are we to repeat it as we should or as the situation presents itself.
I wonder if we just tried to share Jesus with one more, what impact would that have on the world. I wonder, what impact it would have on us as a witness? The mission is for us to try and try again, even if you feel that you’re are failing, you’re not! Each time you embrace your walk with our savior and share his love for humanity there is growth.
You’ll experience a touch of a closer walk with God and that is nothing to wonder about!
