It seems that each of us face situations in our lives when it is difficult to keep moving forward and staying strong. It may be a time when we are facing a crisis and we just cannot see a way out. It may be due to an illness, financial or relational that just hangs on and we are confronted with why or how long will this last. These are times when we face some of the most trying faith challenging seasons in our Christian life. How do we move forward?

Sure, it is easy to say, “Well just give it to God!” But, when you are in the moment, the time of reality and your humanity is tested. This in when you come to a crossroad of either giving in to your state of mind or giving total command of where you are at this moment and relying on God to carry you through.

How do we get to where we need to be at this critical time in our life? How do we not give in to the pressure of our situation and let our personal or physical condition take control of us? How do we grasp a hold of our Savior's robe instead of embracing our obstruction?

I personally have learned that sometimes we have to just dig deep and move forward. When you see no light ahead, walk as if your answer and help has arrived. Move forward by speaking, walking, crying, shouting and above all praising God as if you know help is coming, because... it’s on the way!!

I believe that there is a spirit within all of us that God places within our heart and mind that provides us a place of strength and depth of faith. It is not frequently called on by us because we don’t feel or see it but is there for us.

When all of humanity has failed us and we are in a desperate moment, it is at this time we cry out to God for just a glimpse of hope. What we don’t realize is that his spirit has always been there, just waiting for us to receive it.

Usually, he will let us know somehow in his own way that the weight we seem to be carrying by ourselves is really a load that he desires to bear for us every minute of every day we endure or suffer.

Whatever you're facing today, remember his promises, call on his grace, receive his mercy, send your prayers to him daily and God will send back to you his message, trust me and just keep Moving Forward!

John 5:2-9

2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep [Gate] a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.

3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.

4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.

5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been [in that condition] a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?"

7 The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." 8JJesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk."

9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.

Where do we see Moving Forward in the above scripture?

We see the people moving into the water, an angel moving down to stir the water, Jesus moving toward a certain man and the man takes up his bed and walks, he Moves Forward.

Move Forward!
